If you’re looking for an extra special activity during your Christmas break at Garreg Goch this December then we highly recommend visiting Santa’s Magical Grotto at Harbour Station in Porthmadog. This family friendly day out is a ‘must’ for visitors with young children during a caravan or holiday home break in North Wales.
You’ll be transported into a winter wonderland the moment you step through the door at Porthmadog’s Harbour Station. Little ones can visit Santa in one of the stations magical carriages, where they’ll receive a gift if they’ve been good!
Visitors will have ample opportunity to soak up the festive atmosphere also be able to enjoy footplate rides, mulled wine and other seasonal refreshments and there will be plenty of family selfie opportunities. Christmas shopping is also available, if you want to pick up some mementos before returning to the park!
Advance booking is essential. Visitors are kindly asked to book a 10-minute slot to come and see Santa.
If you want to extend your day out further, you can book a ticket on the Elf Express. This 30-minute train ride goes from Porthmadog to Minffordd and back. There’s no need to book a time slot for this – trains run throughout the day, simply jump on the next one!
