About Garreg Goch

Garreg Goch’s season is 10.5 Months long. Opening 1st March to 10th January. This allows for guests to spend both Christmas and new years day at our holiday park in North Wales.

Yes, Garreg Goch is part of the Coastdale Parks - an independent and family owned holiday parks group.

There are 3 parks in the group:

Garreg Goch - Porthmadog, North Wales

Whitby Holiday Park - Whitby, North Yorkshire

Atlantic Coast Holiday Park - Hayle, Cornwall

Garreg Goch is an independent and family owned holiday park in Porthmadog on the North Wales coast. It has been part of the Coastdale Parks group for more than 30 years.

We have a range of facilities for home owners to use at Garreg Goch. Our modern facilities include a children's playground, laundrette and dog shower.

Yes, friends and family of holiday home owners are welcome to use any of the on-park facilities at Garreg Goch.

Garreg Goch has an attentive management team on-site, who will regularly perform patrols across the park to ensure the safety and well-being of guests.

No, Garreg Goch Holiday Park does not have a designated car parking for visitors.

Additional visitors will have to park beside guests / homeowner's holiday homes or park off site.

Purchase Process

Please contact reception to book a holiday park visit. One of our friendly and helpful team will gladly show you around our holiday homes for sale and answer any questions you may have about ownership.

No, we don't have a holiday homes for sale brochure. We keep our holiday homes for sale page up to date and send regular updates about static caravan ownership opportunities to our online mailing list

The holiday homes for sale at Garreg Goch start from £45,000.

Please bear in mind that prices can fluctuate as a result of supply and demand.

No, we do not offer finance at the present time.

If we don’t have the perfect holiday home for you right now, let us know what it is that you are looking for and we can try and source a holiday home for you.

This is not always possible but we do what we can to get you into the a holiday home that is just right for you.

If the holiday home is on park, it will take 10 - 14 days to get the holiday home ready for you once the deposit has been paid.

On handover day we will check all the relevant paperwork is complete and sign the licence agreement. We will then do a handover walk through the holiday home where we will show you how everything works.

On handover day there is always a lot of information to take in, but don’t worry. We are here 7 days a week to help you. If you have any question later on just pop in and see us.

Yes, there is a 14 day cooling off period.

No, unfortunately we do not accept re-sitings at Garreg Goch holiday park - this means that you cannot relocate your holiday home from one park to another.

Holiday Homes for Sale

A lodge is larger than a static caravan.

Yes absolutely, you can choose where you'd like to place your holiday home at Garreg Goch.

Please note that your holiday home location is subjective to availability.

We can arrange for our direct to van connection to be made to your holiday home. The installation charge of the equipment needed is £199.00.

There will then be an annual charge of £168.00 for Wifi. This works out at just £14 a month.

You will only need a TV licence if you are subletting your holiday home.

Yes, all holidays homes at Garreg Goch will come fully furnished. Furniture style and functionality depends on particular static caravan model and supplier.

Site Fees and Costs

We will require a 20% deposit on any holiday home on park.

If we order a holiday home specifically for you we would require a 35% deposit.

The full balance is due when the holiday home arrives on park.

If a brand new holiday it will come with the manufacturers warranty.

If the holiday home is pre owned it will come with a six month warranty.

The annual pitch fees start at £3,186.79 for the 2024 season. Site fees are reviewed on annual basis.

Site fees allow you to have your holiday home at Garreg Goch year round. It also covers general maintenance of communal areas, to ensure the park is always looking its best.

Pitch fees need to be paid before the middle of February every year.

The annual site fee can be paid online, in person or over the phone.

Yes, site fees are subject to annual price increases. The will be reviewed by management every year.

No, you are not required to pay stamp duty when buying a caravan holiday home.

No, you will not have to pay council tax because your holiday home cannot be inhabited year round.

Yes, you are required to have holiday home insurance as part of the site licence agreement.

There are lots of companies on the market, we encourage you to shop around to find cover that is suitable for you. We do not arrange insurance, but we are more than happy to suggest trusted holiday home insurance companies.

We require you to have at least £5 million public liability insurance.

Electric is metered. The meter will be read twice a year. You will also be invoiced twice a year.

Please contact reception to arrange a replacement gas bottle.

Holiday Home Ownership

No, you cannot live in your holiday home. This is a stipulation of the site licence agreement.

You must provide proof of a primary address at the time of purchase.

Owning a holiday home at Garreg Goch allows you to visit North Wales as many times as you like throughout the year - including Christmas Day and New Years Eve*.

Our holiday park's opening dates are from the 1st of March to the 10th of January the following year.

Yes, we guarantee parking for one vehicle at the holiday home although a lot of pitches have space for 2.

Yes, it is possible to upgrade your holiday home to a newer one.

We occasionally host owners events.

You will only need a TV licence if you are subletting your holiday home.

You can carry out maintenance on your holiday home if you wish, however we recommend that you allow us to handle any smalls jobs as. and when they crop up.

We can take the stress and hassle away from you so that you can enjoy your holiday at Garreg Goch.

Only tradesman that are approved contractors can do any work on site.

In the colder months it is always advisable to turn your stop tap off and open your taps when you are away, then if the temperature does drop the frozen water will have somewhere to go and wont cause as much damage.

When the end of the season is here all holiday homes need to be protected against frost damage. Again we can take any stress or hassle away and do the full drain down for you.

This depends on the type of holiday home you buy. One of our team will be able to talk you through this on a case by case basis.

At this time you would need to upgrade your holiday home or move it off site.

Yes, your personal guests are allowed to visit your holiday home at Garreg Goch without you being there.

Yes, you can add a veranda to your holiday home at Garreg Goch. But before you do, you need to get permission from the Park Manager.

The decking work must be completed by a contractor approved by the park.

The size of the decking you can have depends on where your holiday home is located, the size of your pitch, and the space you're allowed.

Unfortunately, we do not allow for sheds to be built next to your caravan holiday home at Garreg Goch.

No, we don’t have provisions for an alarm to be installed on any holiday homes at Garreg Goch. However to put your mind at ease, our dedicated team at Garreg Goch frequently patrol the park and check on holiday homes.

Yes, you can have parcels delivered to the park at Garreg Goch. Please note that these should only be occasional parcels and cannot be overly large or frequent.

No, you cannot run a business from your home at Garreg Goch holiday park.
