Pop into the Garreg Goch Shop and Reception for a warm welcome from the family who run the park. They will give you all the information you need to enjoy your stay at Garreg Goch and to make the most of the beautiful area which you can explore near the park. There is a vast array of tourist information available in Reception and the managers will also be able to guide you to the best off-the-beaten-track attractions, including great walks and the tastiest eating places.
Also available in the shop for a real taste of Wales there are a variety of local items, such as Snowdon Craft Ales, Conwy Honey Fayre Ale, Orchard Gold Welsh Cider and Dragon Welsh Butter and Cheese, delivered fresh by the local milkman. Here you can stock up on general groceries, from Kellogg’s cereal to Bourbon biscuits as well as toiletries and housekeeping products.
There’s also a good selection of sweets, crisps, drinks, toys and souvenirs.
Three miles away by car or bus, the small town of Porthmadog has a huge selection of independent shops selling locally produced goods and crafts. There are also several takeaways here and a Tesco, Aldi and Lidl to stock up on essentials. The Portmeirion shops in Porthmadog are well worth visiting, the main one boasting three storeys of homewares and a café in a beautifully restored building with its’ spiral staircase and stained glass domed roof.
In keeping with the strong Garreg Goch sustainability ethos we encourage visitors to use our DVD and book libraries, along with a selection of games free for guests to borrow.
