An Evening with Stephen Fearing - 16th September 2022
Come and join us as we welcome ‘JUNO’ award winning Irish/Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist Stephen Fearing to ‘Y Stesion’ in Caernarfon.
Stephen Fearing’s music is a mesmerizing blend of roots, folk, and pop. Co-founder of Canadian roots-rock supergroup Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, he is a beguiling teller of tales and master guitarist who delights audiences throughout North America, the UK, and Europe.
A multi JUNO and Canadian Folk Music award winner, his tenth solo album, Every Soul’s a Sailor, was named 2017 Worldwide Album of the Year by Blues & Roots Radio. In 2020 he released on Fish Records; The Unconquerable Past .
Fearing is an alluring entertainer – heartbreaking, expansive, and full of mirth – with a clear, honorable voice that lifts you out into his wide world and “brings you back home to yourself.”
You will be awestruck by his guitar playing and enchanted by his soulful and passionate singing voice.
Stephen has ten solo albums to his credit and more than ten others with collaborators such as Emmy Lou Harris, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson and Bruce Coburn.
He says, “Getting on stage is the fun part, especially when the adrenaline kicks in. People want to escape and be taken on a journey. I build my shows so they do just that.”
The concert will take place at ‘Y Stesion’, St Helen’s Road, Caernarfon
Doors will open at 19:00 and the concert will start at 20:00
The bar will be open with drinks and snacks available.

TrailFest: 24th September 2022
The Trailffest Half Marathon is one of the most scenic you could hope to run, with dramatic changes of scenery and terrain the whole way to the finish line.
With the start up in the mountains at 710 feet elevation and the finish down by the sea, it may sound easy – but don’t be fooled! There are some very steep and challenging climbs along the way.
The adventure starts in the rugged slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog lying at the foot of the Moelwyn mountain range and finishes by the sea in the pretty harbour town of Porthmadog.
The route takes you past the industrial slate quarries in Blaenau Ffestiniog then down through the beautiful vale of Ffestiniog.
You will pass through open countryside into the wooded lower slopes then on into the forestry plantations.
After a short (and by then welcome!) section on a small tarmac road you end your race along the cob embankment with stunning views of the mountain range you have just come from on your right and the sea on your left.
An Event Train will be provided to take the competitors from the event centre at Porthmadog to the start of the race in Tanygrisiau, the cost of which is included in the entry fee.

Bygones Weekend - 7th October 2022
The Ffestiniog Railway has been running passenger trains since 1865 and it has been run by the same company all that time, making it the oldest independent railway company in the World.
Of course, there have been many changes and many carriage liveries as trends and management changed. This event gives a chance to see trains from some of the significant periods of this historic company.
There will be trains from Porthmadog to Beddgelert, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Tan y Bwlch throughout the weekend, plus other activities yet to be confirmed.
