Llechwedd Zip World

If you’re looking for a usual activity for your next holiday in Wales, then Llechwedd Zip World might just be what you’re looking for! Zip World has plenty of activities available to book, including multiple zip wire experiences and various deep cavern exploration pursuits.

If you’re interested in exploring the mines beneath the ground, then the Mine Tour is for you. Climb aboard the train and travel deep underground to discover the 19th-century mining caves below. This tour will guide you through the colourfully lit caverns and the daily life of the miners that worked here.

The Titan 2 activity is ideal for families or for groups of four people. The experience begins with a tour around Llechwedd Slate quarry on an army truck as it carries you to a remarkable height of 1400ft. Once you’ve reached this great height, you will be kitted up and ready for initial zip-wire descent. The kilometre descent will fly by as you zoom across the quarry, taking in the incredible views as you go, or you can simply just enjoy the adrenaline rush!  Upon reaching the second point, you’ll swap across to the next zip point, where you can race your family back to the base point below.

Family friendly attraction in North Wales

If you would prefer more of a hands-on approach whilst exploring the mines, then consider participating in the Caverns underground rope course. The Caverns is a unique experience which takes you through multiple tunnels and nooks through the mines, testing your agility and speed as you climb your way to the top. Alternatively, if you like a more laid-back experience of the mines, then you may love Bounce Below. Bounce Below is an underground playground complete with massive trampoline-style nets, so you can bounce, crawl, climb, and roll your way through this playground!

Once you’re done navigating your way underground at Llechwedd Zip World, you can then take to the skies via the zip-wire experience. The two zip wire experiences consist of The Big Red and The Titan 2. The Big Red is the perfect activity for siblings or any other competitive duos! Race your rival as you soar at high speeds thirty feet in the air. The Big Red is slightly shorter of the two zip-wire experiences lasting around 45 minutes, whereas The Titan 2 experience lasts around 2.45 hours.

Getting to Llechwedd Zip World

Getting Llechwedd Zip World from Garreg Goch Caravan Park is an incredibly straightforward thirty-minute drive via the A487 and A496.
